Bako has extensive 18 colour coded jungle trails that can be as a guide from one trails to another. The trails offer to amateur (like me haha) to professional that can walk up to 10 hour walk to Telok Limau or Keruin...I need extensive exercise in order to do that..but I do believe I will and I can do that..next year, just mark my words! Eventough we choose hostel as our accomadation (less thrilling compare to camping) but we able to cover 7 tra
ils, and I believe as a
first timer it really achievement..bravo to us.

Bako National Park-Introduction
Bako National Park is the oldest national park in Sarawak located at jagged peninsula nestled in between the mouth of the Sarawak and Bako Rivers and jutting out into
South China Sea. Although it less than 20km from downtown Kuching as the crow flies, it feel like worlds and eons away.
Bako national park offer excellent rainforest scenery and great adventures. People always told me that in kuching we dont have beauty rainforest compare to other Borneo ..honestly that person not yet visit Bako National Park. I also have that kind of "thinking" about Kuching, Sarawak..but after I went to this park..I changed my mind.
Sarawak offer alot of things that me as "kuchingian" take for granted.

The park was gazzeted in 1957 and cover 2,727 hectares at the tip of Muara Tebas peninsula and offer vegetation found in Borneo. There are seven complete eco-systems are found there: mangrove forest, beach vegetation, Cliff vegitation, Peat Swamp Forest, Kerangas ( Heath) forest and Padang (grassland) vegetation.
The interior plateau of the park is marked by rainforest and kerangas, the distinctive sandstone habitat that forms the geological backbone of the plateau.Hiking trails cross the plateau and connect with most of the main beaches (which also can be
reach by boat-itu penipuan hahah because its all about advantures here) anyway, overall Bako is easy trip from kuching and my advise to anyone who want to go there, take time to enjoy the scanery, enjoy your friends and have fun.

Friends along the way....

Friends.. its so easy to find a new friends, but how far do you know about your

First I met Mr Asli..wonderful guys that book my hotel and do the arrangement for me..people just so helpful when I say that Im travel alone and "this is my first time in KK" they all just without futher questions just help me. I remember my first day in KK at airport I met one backpacker from England that already 4 month travel all around Asia and he just 23. That is so cool, when Im 23 the only imp
ortant things is career and make money, this make me wonder what happen to all my year...wasted? maybe hahhah or just because of time, money, opportunities and more and more reason ...but I just learned from him ...backpackers is all about minimalist. Its like Calvin Kline design is about" minimalist with an attitude "...cehhh . I met few "crazy" friends during my visit to Papar ...we went there to see Pesta
Keamatan state level at papar and they have a Beauty Queen contest. There I meet Scarlett, Wela, Juliana, Beth and Anthony..the coolest groups I ever met, with just a few minutes we become close and enjoy each other company. We even have the opportunities to meet with the Beauty Pagent.

stress free

I always think that I need relax and just chilled out..I love to do that..just doing nothing with my books and laptop and do my own things. I love the environment especially night time in KK, its not too much or too loud. The best place to hang out in KK is at BB Cafe.. the environment is juts relaxing , we can listen to life band , eat, online or just doing nothing (that what I love to do the most). The BB cafe is situated just 2 min walk from my hotel umm or should I say hostel..haha anyway the best thing about KK is everywhere is within walking distance.,its convienient and easy. I w

Backpackers Journey-Island Alone

The exploration start with Manukan Island,"must visit" Island people said but honestly the Island is packed with visitors. I talked to a few local about this Island and amazingly they never been there. suprised ? not really...because I was born and raised in kuching and I also never been to a few places in kuching. As the first time visitor to KK and alone there..I feel that Sabah have the most beautiful scenary ever with beautiful people. I went there without knowing anyone, where to go , what to do but all you need to do is to talked to local and they will tell you everything about Sabah. Being alone has tought me to appreciate people around me and friendship is universal thing.Being alone also tought me the value of being i
ndependent. Umm such a deep words hahah well lets talk about Manukan Island, I really have a high hope when I went there...even though the scenery is beautiful with fish every where the island is too crowded with tourist. However, I still feel that Manukan is a safe island to visit, easy to find food, great facilities, staff are very welcoming and the "must visit island" title is still go to Manukan. But after I went to Mamutik....well that different story o.k....

New Moon
New Moon is a second book by Stephenie Meyer. I love to read book during my younger days (umm Im not that old) but after went to university and building a career my habit just stop. I used to rent a book at shop near Upwell (used to be infront of secret recipe near the MAS building). Excuse for my detailed explaination because I can't remember the road name or any road in kuching haha. That shop call Universal Book Store.. after 5 years of reading I just stopped. Since my bloq is about changes..so this is new changes in me...its maybe small to other but for me to revive the spirit of reading is some achivement..bravo for me!
Lets talk a this book...this book is second book from her (Stephanie Meyer) for Twiligt series. The story start alittle bit slow with flashback from previous book..this is to ensure new reader will undertsand the character. I love the way she potray the each charecter, they all have personality and all plays important role in order to make this book a page turner. The story is basically very simp
Overall the book is fun to read especially teenager who loves Edward Cullen (dedicate to both of my niece) and Bella Swan who I believe the character is similiar with Scarlett O'Hara from Gone with the wind ..strong but beautiful.
Im gonna read the next Twilight series called Esclipse..just wait for the next review..
